Overview
Nottinghamshire County Council have an on-going need for highly skilled, professional auditors to complete a range of challenging work. We now require an additional, talented and enthusiastic Senior Auditor to make a significant contribution to the work of our high-quality Internal Audit Section.
You will play a key role in carrying out complex, Council-wide audits and special investigations and will need to keep up with the pace of change in the Council. You will need the ability to grasp complex issues quickly as you work with clients to provide assurance and to advise on the control, risk and governance aspects of service developments.
Your auditing skills will be grounded on at least 3 years’ audit experience and a qualification to IIA level or AAT (or equivalent).
Based in West Bridgford, Nottingham, the job requires some business travel around the county of Nottinghamshire. You will be able to work flexibly, and the role allows hybrid working, although there will be an expectation to attend our current office base on a frequent basis to suit the needs of the business.

* Provide assurance and advise on control, risk and governance aspects of service developments.
* Work with clients to understand complex issues and support decision-making based on audit findings.
Qualifications
* At least 3 years’ audit experience.
* A professional qualification to IIA level or AAT (or equivalent).
