As Learning and Development Advisor in Leicestershire Social Care Development Group (LSCDG), your key duties and responsibilities will be:
* Working with Commissioning & Quality colleagues in Leicester City and Leicestershire County Councils to provide sound and professional learning and development advice, guidance and opportunities, including formal and informal approaches and methods of learning, design, delivery and evaluation of learning and development activities, coaching, advice and support.
* Keeping up-to-date with changes in adult social care legislation, case law and best practice and using this to inform effective, high‑quality learning and development activities.
* Developing and delivering a range of high‑quality training opportunities (digital, online and face‑to‑face) to support the adult social care sector to provide safe, effective and high‑quality care to the people of Leicester and Leicestershire.
* Holding a relevant degree or professional/management qualification (e.g. Social Work qualification, Registered Manager award) or having relevant and significant operational experience at the level equivalent to the above qualification.
* Having demonstrable experience of successfully delivering learning and development within a complex organisation, and specifically within the private/independent adult social care sector, on time and within budget.
* Providing learning and development advice to managers on learning and development issues.
* Managing your time effectively, making adjustments to your own practice and process to deliver improved results, and taking measured risks and responsibility for outcomes.
* Being able to work as part of a project team, or on your own, and developing good and appropriate relationships with all partners.
* Having knowledge of relevant adult social care legislation.
* Being able to design, construct, structure and deliver training to meet a variety of needs, delivered face-to-face, online or in a blended format.
