Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Assistant to join our team on a zero hour contract. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Assistant children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment.
This role is offered on a zero-hour contract, with weekly updates on available shifts, allowing you the flexibility to choose when you are able to work.
Duties
* Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, fostering their emotional and physical development.
* Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure the needs of each child are met.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive approach to childcare and early education.
* Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care and compliance with nursery policies and procedures.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for childcare with the ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children.
