Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm. The Court of Protection team has an excellent reputation and handles Deputy/COP, Local Authority, and family/carer instructions.
In this role, you will work on cases involving individuals who have lost capacity due to brain injuries, mental health issues, dementia, and other degenerative conditions.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Applications to the Court of Protection to become a deputy
* Statutory Wills and Gift Applications
* Employment and management of carers
* Investment and fund management
* Managing day-to-day finances including payments, insurance, and care costs
* Preparing annual reports, accounts, and tax returns
* Purchasing and adapting homes for incapacitated individuals
* Making statutory wills for incapacitated persons
