Role: Maintenance Team Leader (Electrical Bias)
Location: Leeds/Sheffield
Hours: Monday Friday 37.5 Hours (Days) + Out of hours on call shared rota
Salary: Negotiable on Experience + Car + Oncall Payment + Bonus + Overtime
GPS are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance team leader (electrical bias) to Provide technical leadership and assist with the appointment and development of the Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will carry out activities which require a comparison of a range of options, complex facts requiring analysis to resolve technical issues in complex and multifaceted equipment / situations.
Key Responsibilities
Co-ordinate work of others, providing practical training work evaluation
Plan and organise major planned works, service interruptions and other maintenance activities.
Provide technical advice to other engineering Staff and 3rd Party Contractors.
Where necessary support the Group Engineering Manager with works at other manufacturing sites (specifically Sheffield)
Provide an emergency out of hour s service, working a rotating shift pattern covering 365 days a year. Responsible for calibration and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment
To provide professional / technical support and advice to other areas and functions within the business, continually developing and updating the overall knowledge base.
Carry out own dynamic Risk Assessments for all elements of work including manual handling
Produce / contribute to generic Risk Assessments as required for all elements of work including manual handling
Supervise and organise engineering work taking place in a critical environment, including the allocation of resources as appropriate
Work autonomously as required by utilising the Works Management System to allocate PPM and reactive work requests
Liaise with area users to organise shutdowns of critical and complex process systems
Skills/Experience Required
Previous experience in a similar role
ONC or demonstrable equivalent experience
Recognised and registered CITB or EITB apprenticeship
Previous experience working on breakdowns and PPM on technical mechanical, steam raising and electrical plant found multi-disciplined healthcare environment.
