Job Title - Payroll (& Accounts Assistant)Location - NottinghamSalary - £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE)Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Office-Based, with flexible hours available)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join a growing business. In this role, you will support the payroll function and assist with various accounts-related tasks, helping to ensure smooth financial operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Predominately support the Payroll Manager with processing weekly and fortnightly payroll
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of new starters, time-sheets, pension entries, and deductions
* Process pension contributions and maintain employee contract details on time and attendance system
* Assist Accounts with registering and sending purchase invoices for authorisation within the Accounts Department
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and increase efficiency within Payroll and finance operations
Skills Required:
* Prior experience in a Payroll role
* Strong in Microsoft Excel is an advantage
* Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to learn new processes and technologies
* Proactive attitude with a readiness to take on additional responsibilities
