Job Title: Commercial Officer
What you’ll be doing:
* Reviewing and analysing contractual documentation such as Terms and Conditions and NDAs, identifying and communicating terms to stakeholders
* Collaborating with Integrated Delivery Teams (IDTs) to shape responses for both new opportunities and evolving customer requirements
* Drafting high-quality commercial documentation for senior-level review, and preparing detailed proposals for client submission
* Interpreting financial data and understanding basic pricing models to support commercial decision-making
* Assisting Procurement and Supply Chain teams in preparing sub-contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with head contract flow-downs
* Supporting the Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Manager in navigating and contributing to effective contract negotiations
* Addressing customer queries and resolving issues within remit, while escalating complex or high-impact challenges when needed
Your skills and experiences:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a commercial role or defence sector
* Experience working within customer/client focused environment
* Effective communicator with the ability to negotiate and interpret and understand customer requirements
* Awareness of the commercial function and its interaction with wider business operations
* Prior experience in a commercial/procurement role
