Overview
Are you a compassionate and reliable individual with a passion for supporting pupils with additional personal care and medical needs? Axcis Education is looking for experienced Medical Needs/Personal Care Teaching Assistants to provide essential support in schools across Greater Manchester. This position focuses on pupils who require assistance with personal care and medical support, including toileting, diabetes management, and medication administration.
Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with personal care routines, including toileting, hygiene, and dressing, in a dignified and person-centred manner
* Promoting pupil autonomy, dignity, and independence, adapting support based on individual Health Care Plans (HCPs) and EHCPs
* Ensuring all care and interventions are recorded appropriately and safeguarding protocols are followed
* Working in collaboration with the SENDCO, school nurse and parents/carer, in addition to external medical professionals, to ensure safe and effective care

Requirements / What You’ll Need
* Experience supporting ages 5-16 with personal care, health, or medical needs in an educational or care setting
* Confidence supporting toileting, mobility, feeding, or administering diabetes-related care
* Qualifications related to manual handling and safe toileting practices
