Full-time: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:00

Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with an interest in education? We are currently recruiting full-time and part-time Welsh-speaking Unqualified Teachers to work in Welsh-medium secondary schools across Cardiff.

About the Role
As a Welsh-Speaking Unqualified Teacher, you will:
Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and keep students engaged with their work
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
Support students, including those with additional learning needs (ALN)
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Ensure a safe, organised learning environment
Report any concerns or incidents to school leadership or department staff
What We’re Looking For
Fluent Welsh speaker with strong communication skills in Welsh and English
Confident managing groups of young people
Adaptable and reliable across different school environments
A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting students
Understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing
Requirements
Passion for education and supporting young learners
Strong communication, mentoring, or leadership skills (e.g., coaching, youth work, tutoring)
Willingness to complete required training and safeguarding checks
Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided)
EWC registration (guidance available)
Two recent references
Ability to travel to schools across Cardiff
