MSM aerospace fabricators is a leading manufacturer that specialises in hydroforming and complex welded fabrications. As a result of continued investment and expansion, they have an opportunity for multiple skilled sheet metal workers to join them to work in the Aerospace fabrication department on a permanent basis. A few of the main duties and responsibilities of this role are: Manufacturing components through fabrication and sheet metal processes Hand forming, marking out, adjusting, dressing, riveting, assembly of aircraft detail parts and sub-assemblies and component repairs/MRO Working with various types of thin gauge sheet metals such as aluminium, inconel, stainless steels & titanium Working to fine limits Reading and working from engineering drawings and design drawings Working with all types of measuring equipment in an AS9100 Quality environment Operators will have specialist skills, with the ability to give guidance and solve problems. A flexible approach is essential in this role, including working well under own supervision or as part of a team. The successful candidates will have an excellent understanding of metal fabrication processes, health and safety, and working in line company objectives across quality, cost & delivery. The postholders must also be able to display previous experience of operating various types of machinery including stretchers and shrinking machines, air tools, English wheels etc. To be considered for level 4, it is essential that you are a skilled sheet metal worker with a recognised time served apprenticeship. The ideal candidates will preferably have aerospace experience, however this is not essential. Further information about the role: Day shift only Hours of work: 37 hours Monday to Thursday Holiday Entitlement: 185 hours (flexible) statutory or public holidays which fall within your normal working pattern.
