GSL Education are seeking a committed Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Rotherham area immediately. As a Primary SEN TA, this role provides the opportunity to support pupils with additional needs, help them engage with learning, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, assisting them in accessing lessons and developing key skills. Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development. Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learning. Contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Requirements for Primary SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with primary pupils with SEN is desirable. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
