MM Search are delighted to be retained by Alpha to find a Business Development Manager to join their team and spearhead further growth in the Glasgow and West of Scotland region. With an existing customer base of large global companies, leading Scottish businesses, universities and public sector bodies, the successful candidate will be responsible for building on this success and developing the region working closely with the talented team in Glasgow and across the group.
Alpha Interiors Scotland is one of the leading commercial interiors businesses in Scotland, providing furniture and related services to the Office and Education markets. Alpha Scotland is part of Alpha Marketing Plc, one of the top 10 office furniture dealer groups in the UK.
The Position: Business Development Manager – Glasgow and the West of Scotland
Main Purpose: To grow the Alpha business in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. Developing the market for Alpha’s products and services, creating and converting new sales opportunities, and building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with new and existing customers and other business partners in the region
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify new business opportunities both within new and existing customers.
* Create and implement strategies to reach, and secure, new business opportunities to deliver on company and personal targets.
* Build strong customer relationships, identifying customer needs and challenges, and creating sales opportunities for Alpha’s products and services
* Build and maintain close relationships with key industry professionals, including the key partners with the A&D community, to maximise potential opportunities.
* Attend conferences and events to build relationships within the local business community and with industry partners
* Collaborate with the wider Alpha team, and with key suppliers to deliver an excellent customer experience for all customers from bid/quotation to delivery.
The Candidate Essential Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, interior design, finance or business management. Or qualified by experience.
* Strong sales experience within B2B project sales to leading corporate accounts.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets
* Ideally with previous experience within office furniture or commercial interiors market
