Location: Lytham St Annes (FY8)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (6-month casual probation)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Working Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch, negotiable)

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician to support our busy science department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for science and a keen eye for detail to play a vital role in delivering high-quality practical lessons across chemistry, physics, and biology.

Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and setting up classrooms and laboratories for science lessons
* Supporting practical experiments across all science disciplines
* Ordering, organising, and maintaining science equipment and supplies
* Ensuring laboratories are kept clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations
* Assisting teaching staff with lesson preparation where required

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* An interest or background in science (preferred but not essential depending on experience)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting staff and students

Additional Information
* This is a temp-to-perm role, starting on a casual contract for a 6-month probation period
* Term-time only position, ideal for work-life balance
* Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available due to LCC employment regulations
