Construction Site Supervisor – M&E
Location: Bracknell
Contract: 6 months initially
Rate: £34.77 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor with a strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background to oversee installation works on a major site in Bracknell.
This role will focus on the day-to-day supervision and coordination of M&E activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise mechanical and electrical installation works including HVAC, pipework, plumbing, electrical containment, cabling, and plant installation
* Ensure all works are completed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and RAMS
* Monitor site progress against programme and report delays or technical issues
* Maintain accurate daily site records and progress updates
* Enforce health & safety procedures and stop unsafe works where required
* Attend and support toolbox talks and task briefings
* Conduct quality inspections, including first-fix and second-fix checks
* Support testing, commissioning, and final handover activities
* Oversee snagging, defect resolution, and re-work
* Coordinate with site teams, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades
* Ensure correct materials, equipment, and plant are available and compliant
Requirements
Essential:
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification
* CSCS Supervisory Card (M&E relevant)
* Mechanical or Electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
* Proven experience supervising M&E works on construction sites
* Strong understanding of M&E systems, installation methods, and health & safety
Desirable:
- First Aid at Work- Additional site certifications (e.g. confined spaces, hot works, HV/LV awareness)
