The Business Development Director; Cyber Security plays a crucial role in Six Degrees by leading the way in the company's strategic and market-leading value proposition in relation to our Cyber Security portfolio.
This role is to achieve strategically valued revenues from targeted new logo clients.
To be successful in this role you will have a deep awareness of business drivers and compelling events coupled with the ability to discuss and influence relationships at the highest level. You will be an expert in translating these business drivers into tangible Cyber Security products and services which will protect and support prospective client businesses. You will have a proven track record of selling Cyber Security solutions and working with clients to develop their Cyber Security strategies with a proven track record of success. Ideal candidates will also have a proficiency in security principles, concepts, and technologies, encompassing familiarity with NIST, CSF, ISO 27001, cybersecurity solutions, network security, and data security. Managing your own sales funnel, you will collaborate with various teams within the company to create meaningful client interactions and innovative solutions across the Cyber Security portfolio. Strong communication skills, a focus on achieving business objectives and a passion for business-driven solutions are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Director
* Proactively identify, engage with and win targeted new logo clients purchasing Cyber Security products and services from Six Degrees.
* Drive end-to-end sales cycles for cybersecurity solutions, from discovery to close.
* Take ownership of customer engagement and sales opportunities from identification through solution development to successful contract signing.
* Initiate and implement a plan to manage sales activity and ensure key targets are met.
* Collaborate with Product colleagues to propose value-providing solutions.
* Work with Marketing and the Product teams to develop activity and campaigns to promote Six Degrees' awareness, our capabilities and solutions.
* Monitor campaign performance, lead conversion rates, and pipeline velocity to ensure consistent progress.
* Work with pre-sales, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and provide feedback to product and marketing teams based on customer insights.
* Leverage industry knowledge to identify recurring client challenges and pain points to assist refining Six Degrees' solutions and go-to-market messaging.
* Balance customer advocacy with the need to ensure the business is right for Six Degrees.
* Understand the competitive marketplace and position Six Degrees positively, handling customer objections and sales negotiations.
* Select Document Classification.
* Ensure CRM records are accurate for timely management reporting.
* Regularly update sales management on the progress of opportunities and the path to closure.
Requirements for the Business Development Director
* Demonstrated experience in selling cyber security solutions with a proven track record of success.
* Worked with clients in developing their cyber security strategies.
* Extensive sales expertise in a technology or services setting, with a specific focus on marketing security solutions.
* Proficiency in security principles, concepts, and technologies, encompassing familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, cybersecurity solutions, network security, and data security.
* Demonstrated success in a New Business.
* Development position in the IT services sector.
* Ability to comprehend and address clients' business challenges effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of business-enabling technologies.
* Proven track record of consistently achieving and surpassing performance metrics.
* Proven track record of selling the benefits of managed services.
