The role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Devonport Infrastructure Directorate for an Assistant Project Manager, playing a crucial role in delivering MOD funded projects and supporting key infrastructure initiatives.


Day-to-day, you’ll manage infrastructure and construction projects, including maintenance, improvements, and new facilities across Devonport and beyond, supporting larger initiatives while overseeing smaller-scale projects.


* Oversee project planning, programming, finance, risk management, control, monitoring, and Health & Safety within established procedures and under professional guidance.
* May be required to draft scopes for basic-style projects as needed.


This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.


Essential experience of the Assistant Project Manager

* Experience of project management and delivery of infrastructure projects within building, construction, or related industry.
* Relevant knowledge and experience of the application of Health and Safety Regulations.
* Knowledge of APM philosophy and responsibilities.
* Organisation skills and the ability to self-manage and produce information and reports.
* Competence using Microsoft Office software.


Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager

* HNC in an engineering / construction subject.APM qualification. This may however be waived for a period depending on the level of the applicant’s experience and capability.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
