Overview
Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses to work in our Adult Community Health Services. We have vacancies in our Greenwich District Nursing Team to meet the increased demand for community health services, supporting the national agendas for delivering more care out of hospital. We welcome applications from newly qualified nurses with a drive to build on their pre-registration experience and knowledge. We provide a highly supportive approach with all staff to gain the competencies required for the role and as an Oxleas Community Staff Nurse you will be supported to develop advanced clinical assessment skills.
As a Community Staff Nurse you will work autonomously, and as part of a team, to deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients in their home environment. This care includes phlebotomy and cannulation, administration of IV antibiotics via infusion, wound care, catheter care and also delivering sensitive compassionate care at end of life. All successful candidates will be offered a formal induction.
Our district nursing services have Day teams and Twilight/Night teams operating between 08:00 - 23:00 hours and we can offer flexible shifts within these hours. These services all operate seven days a week, including bank holidays. In our district nursing teams, a full UK driver’s licence is essential as well as access to a car for work purposes.
