* Job Title: Maths and English Teaching Assistant
* Salary: £14,006 - £14,424 pro rata
* Location: Multi-site
* Hours and Weeks per Year: 24 Hours a week / 38 Weeks per year
At Kirklees College we are always looking for new talent and welcome applications from all sectors. The role will require you to be based at the Waterfront and Pioneer centres, focusing on working with adult learners and apprentices with SEND to improve literacy and numeracy skills.
Your key responsibilities will include planning, preparing and delivering group learning activities both within and outside of the classroom with input from tutors. You will be key in identifying individual SEND needs through initial assessments and completing inclusion plans for others to follow.

Qualifications and experience
* Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards one.
* Previous experience in a post-16 environment with learners with additional learning needs.
* Strong communication skills, ability to encourage high aspirations, adaptability to change, and collaboration with other areas of the college to support a whole college SEND approach.
* Demonstrate college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
Working pattern and safeguarding
* Flexible around a 52-week curriculum delivery: daytime hours 8:30 – 20:00.
