Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance Operations: Oversee all maintenance activities and planned preventative systems, including inspections.
* Project Work: Design, specify, and install electrical equipment for capital, maintenance, and upgrade projects—managing spend within authorized budgets.
* Team Supervision: Lead a team of four electrical personnel and manage external electrical contractors.
* ATEX/CompEx: Act as a competent person (training provided if required) for ATEX area classification, design, installation, inspection, and commissioning.
* Technical Authority: Serve as the Company’s go-to expert on electrical matters.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties such as suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies (HSE, EA).
* Health & Safety: Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all electrical activities comply with legal and company standards.
* Training & Development: Manage training and development for all electrical personnel.
What the Client is Looking For
* Qualifications: RQF Level 3 (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3) in a practical electrical discipline (essential).
* Experience: At least 5 years of practical post-qualification experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
* Attributes: A flexible and proactive mindset, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and adjust to changing priorities.
