Multi-skilled Engineer – Electrical Engineer Bias
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Edinburgh
Responsibilities
* Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering both electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering reactive and proactive maintenance in line with site requirements.
* Carry out modifications and installations when required, and maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
* Ensure all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required.
* Complete all required paperwork and produce reports accurately and in a timely manner.
* Carry out all work to a high standard in line with current company policies and procedures, reporting any deficiencies that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety or the environment.
Required Qualifications
* 17th/18th edition and NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent, with up-to-date training.
* Good knowledge of building statutory compliance and responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings, with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
