Your responsibilities
1. Lead set up of new Trading Operations function within the UK, interfacing closely between Front Office, Treasury, Finance and Commercial operations in Dusseldorf
2. Provide effective and well controlled settlement services to the trading function – all deals settled on time and accurately
3. Provide challenge to the trading function, ensuring processes and controls are consistently applied
4. Support the development of new products working alongside stakeholders
5. Independently align with the Front Office teams, with Credit Risk, Tax, Accounting, and with all other required stakeholders to ensure correct, timely and efficient settlement is performed by the team
6. Ensure timely and accurate processing of trades including validation, data quality management, implementation, settlement and documentation
7. Be the point of contact for audit processes
8. Ensure tracking and administration of internal controls as well as KPIs
9. Identify and steer optimization potentials - working with the team to drive initiatives to simplify, standardize and automate processes within the department based on the Operational Excellence principals
10. Manage (Sub-) projects as well as collaborate with other teams in projects
11. Occasional travel to Dusseldorf will be required
Your profile
Essential
12. Educational or professional background in economics/accounting/business administration or similar areas
13. Experience in commodity markets, in deal validation, pre-settlement and settlement tasks
14. Ability to work with Front Office teams on very high value transactions, under time pressure
15. Experience working with SAP and ETRMs
16. Fluent in English language
17. Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of MS Office services
18. UK commodity market knowledge
Desirable
19. Experience working as team lead
20. Distinctive customer orientation and focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement
