About the Life Long Learning Centre (LLC)
The Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) at the University of Leeds creates transformational educational opportunities with a particular focus on students from groups under‑represented in Higher Education or those who do not have traditional qualifications, including mature, part‑time, foundation year students and learners on apprenticeship programmes. The Centre is a well‑established unit with a dedicated team providing tailored support to students throughout their educational journey.
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver pastoral and wellbeing support to students, ensuring appropriate support is provided at each point of transition and development
* Support students through one‑to‑one support and the delivery of workshops and activities
* Work with academic and administrative teams to foster an inclusive environment for diverse student cohorts
* Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity and tact when working with students
* Be present on campus and be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate student needs
Qualifications
* Experience providing pastoral support on an individual basis and in group settings
* Understanding of the support needs of diverse student cohorts
* Strong interpersonal skills to work alongside academic and administrative staff
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with students with sensitivity and tact
