Overview
This is a busy, people-focused leadership role within a public-facing service that supports customers at some of the most important moments in their lives. You will be leading a team delivering a mix of ceremonies, birth, death and notice appointments, citizenship ceremonies, customer enquiries and service delivery. The role sits within a wider leadership team working across the service, focusing on a "One Service" approach to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for our customers. No two days are the same – you will need to be flexible, responsive and able to support your team through a wide range of situations. This role includes Saturday working on a rota basis; flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
* Leading, supporting and developing your team

* Ensuring day‑to‑day service delivery runs smoothly
* Supporting both ceremonies and appointments as one service
* Managing performance, wellbeing and workload across the team
* Working collaboratively with other Team Leaders and the wider service
* Responding to changing demands and supporting the team through busy periods
