Overview
Plymouth City Council is seeking a Technical Support Officer to provide high‑quality administrative and clerical support within the Bereavement Services team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth, sensitive and efficient service delivery across crematorium and cemetery operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and technical support to Bereavement Services.
* Maintain accurate records, databases and documentation.
* Support scheduling, bookings and service coordination.
* Handle enquiries with professionalism, empathy and attention to detail.
* Assist with compliance, reporting and operational processes.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth day‑to‑day service delivery.
About You
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication skills with a sensitive, professional approach.
* Able to manage varied tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure.
* Experience in a public‑facing or regulated environment desirable.
