About the apprenticeship
Duties
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to business and user needs.
• Gather and represent user requirements throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring user-centric principles guide design and delivery decisions.
• Develop, prioritise, and maintain the product backlog, writing user stories and acceptance criteria to support agile delivery.
• Analyse data and performance metrics to inform product decisions, measure success against defined KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, and business stakeholders to support the development, testing, launch and iteration of digital products.
• Complete 20% off-the-job learning towards the Level 4 User Centred Design Apprenticeship, applying new knowledge in areas such as agile methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and digital product delivery.
Additional information
This is a 24-month fixed-term Apprenticeship starting in September 2026, leading to the Level 4 Apprenticeship standard in User Centred Design. Apprentices will spend 20% of their contracted hours completing off-the-job training through a combination of classroom or virtual learning, online study, structured development activities, and mentoring.
As part of the Apprenticeship programme, occasional travel to a training centre may be required. This location may differ from the Apprentice’s primary work base.
The role provides hands-on experience across the full digital product lifecycle, from concept and discovery through delivery and iteration. Apprentices will receive structured support from their manager and training provider to ensure successful progression and qualification completion.
Applicants must meet UK Apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria, including residency and right-to-work requirements. Candidates must not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this Apprenticeship.

Requirements
Qualifications
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, candidates must:
•Be aged 18 or over before the programme start date.
•Have the right to live and work in the country where the role is located for the full duration of the programme.
•Have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last three years.
•Be resident in the country where the role is located for the duration of the Apprenticeship.
•Not be enrolled on a UK government-funded course ending August 2026 or later.
•Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4–9 (A–C) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
•Hold a Level 3 qualification (e.g., A Level, BTEC, or Level 3 Apprenticeship).
Candidates with qualifications obtained outside the UK must obtain a Statement of Comparability from UK ENIC to confirm eligibility.
Applicants must not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this Level 4 Apprenticeship, in line with funding requirements.
This programme is suitable for individuals with little or some prior knowledge of digital product management.

Strong collaboration skills are essential, as the role involves working closely with cross-functional teams across design, engineering, and business functions.
A data-driven mindset is highly desirable, with an interest in using metrics and user insights to inform decisions and measure success. The apprentice should be comfortable balancing competing priorities and making structured decisions that maximise value delivery.
We value resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to seek and act on feedback. A proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential to successfully balance workplace responsibilities with academic study.
