The role is based in schools across Sheffield, supporting learners within the S35 district. In this role, the Religious Education (RE) Teacher will deliver lessons that build pupils’ knowledge, critical thinking, and ethical understanding, while fostering discussion and reflection. You will guide students in exploring religion and philosophy within a safe, supportive environment. Key Duties: Deliver well-structured RE lessons aligned with the curriculum. Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and engagement with moral and ethical topics. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider learning objectives. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Experience working as an RE Teacher in a school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
