We are currently seeking dedicated English Techers to work across a range of supportive and inclusive primary and secondary school environments in Stoke on Trent, and nearby areas. Your Role:
As a English Teacher you will be supporting pupils with:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Participate in school events, meetings, and continuous professional development.
* Build trust and positive relationships with students, encouraging independence and confidence.
* Contribute to a calm, safe, and respectful classroom atmosphere.
* Implement and adapt EHCP targets into daily teaching practice.
* Deliver tailored lessons that support the academic, emotional, and social development of learners with autism.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
* Experience in SEMH settings – Essential
* Empathy & Understanding – A nurturing, patient approach
* Strong Behavioural Management – Calm under pressure, supportive and consistent
* Adaptability & Resilience – Able to meet varied needs across different schools
* Excellent Communication – With pupils, staff, and families
