Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, the SHEQ Advisor will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) are maintained across all operations. They will display a proactive approach to risk management and compliance, as well as the ability to promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
1. Develop, implement, and monitor SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess H&S compliance and identify required improvements.
3. Provide training and support related to SHEQ practices, including new starter inductions.
4. Assist with incident/accident investigations and prepare detailed reports including recommendations for corrective actions.
5. Maintain accurate records of SHEQ activities.
6. Carry out work equipment inspections and maintain records of these inspections.
7. Liaise with external agencies and clients regarding SHEQ matters as required.
8. Participate in toolbox talks to cascade SHEQ information.
9. Collaborate with staff and management to meet business and contract needs.
10. Support management and operational teams regarding SHEQ issues.
11. Assist with risk assessment and management.
12. Ensure safety systems are fit for purpose.
13. Review and update SHEQ documentation.

Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a SHEQ role within a relevant industry.
2. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and management systems.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Strong analytical skills.
5. Ability to identify potential risks and implement control measures.
6. A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management is desirable but not essential.
7. Experience in conducting training sessions.
