JOB TITLE: INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
This role is based offshore on a 3/3 rota.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To maintain the process plant and associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with all statutory requirements
2. Carry out planned preventative, remedial and breakdown maintenance in accordance with Resources maintenance management system
3. Carry out Instrument and Fire & Gas maintenance activities as follows
4. Complete preventative and remedial maintenance in accordance with Maximo schedule and work instructions, with particular emphasis on safety critical activities
5. Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all site equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly
6. Carry out major services, overhauls and intrusive maintenance on site equipment
7. Carry out and participate in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability
8. Ensure comprehensive work history is recorded in Maximo and any follow up work and material required is identified
9. Capable of carrying out basic maintenance and testing of platform metering systems
10. Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management
11. Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
12. Participate in appropriate PFM competence scheme including any multi skilled role
13. Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success
14. Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
15. Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
16. Ensure comprehensive handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
17. Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with ’s HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System
18. Be familiar with, and follow, the Golden Rules for Health and Safety at all times
19. Comply with all relevant PFM HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate
20. Actively participate and support all and PFM Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements
21. Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following:
22. Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
23. Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified
24. Report all accidents and incidents
25. Carry out Emergency Response duties as required by site
26. CSE and BA trained as required by site
27. Carry out competency assessments as required by company
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
28. Core Trade NSVQ (Level 3) Certification or Equivalent
29. CPR Training
30. TSBT 02 Disassemble and reinstall Small Bore Tubing Assemblies (Stage 3 Initial / 4 Re-assessment)
31. TSBT 01 Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing Assemblies Twin Ferrule (Stage 3 Initial / 4 Re-assessment)
32. CompEx Units Ex 01 to 04 (Electrical)
33. Electrical Safety Rules
34. Electricity at Work Regulations (included in Electrical Safety Rules)
35. Portable Gas Detection Use & Calibration
36. Kelton FM Training
37. Fire & Gas experience preferred
38. Metering system experience preferred
39. Previous experience in a similar offshore role
40. Previous assessor experience to L&D 9DI or equivalent standard
41. Previous experience with Maximo or similar CMMS
42. Computer literate including use of Microsoft office suite
