About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.


Position Details

This is a permanent, part-time position of 18.5 hours per week. Please note the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

The shift pattern is core hours 9-5, negotiable.


Role Responsibilities

The post is within a specialist multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for providing assessments and diagnoses, supporting individuals with autism and their significant others, developing and delivering psycho-educational programs in collaboration with other agencies, offering consultancy and expert advice across NHSGG&C, and participating in research and development activities as required.


Candidate Requirements

* Professional qualification in nursing, speech and language therapy, or occupational therapy.
* Significant experience working with individuals with autism, including diagnostic assessments.
* Competent in IT skills necessary for report writing, audits, and electronic patient records.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Desirable: experience in mental health and learning disability services, accreditation in diagnostic tools, postgraduate qualification in Autism.
