Vacancy: Senior Piping Engineer Location: London, Manchester or Royston - UK Job Family: Engineering As The Senior Piping Engineer you will play a key role in the Company, contributing to the design and development of piping deliverables for JM Catalyst Technologies Licensed projects. The role will work closely with other Mechanical and Chemical Engineers to prepare and deliver Piping documentation to support the transfer of Process Technology to clients. Working closely with Project teams the role requires preparation and checking of plant layout designs, supporting colleagues in the development of the technology package, representing JM Piping discipline in external meetings with clients and contractors, and offering piping engineering support to clients and design contractors as the design is developed and construction undertaken. Your responsibilities: Responsible for carrying out Piping Engineering activities, following JM standards and procedures to schedule and budget as advised by the Lead Engineer / Discipline Manager / Project Manager Develop and take responsibility for the accuracy of Piping Layouts and other discipline documentation to specify the piping engineering requirements of our technologies. Review of Process Data Sheets, P&ID's, etc., multi-discipline and Vendor documentation for integration within Project design. Demonstrate, provide and develop appropriate technical solutions for specific project issues Ensure JM health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work Give quality and technically credible advice to customers (internal and external) and suppliers, and seek consultation as required. Requirements for the role: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an HND with extensive piping design experience Significant experience in piping layout and design within a Process Plant Engineering & Construction Company (or closely related business) Good working knowledge of piping industrial design practices and codes Member or Fellow of a recognised Professional Institution Proficient in use of AutoCad Inventor 3D and Vault Ability to plan and prioritise work often with multiple conflicting priorities.
