Commercial Business Lead
An emerging fashion brand is seeking a highly entrepreneurial Commercial Business Lead to drive financial performance, operational efficiency and long-term growth.
This role will take ownership of the commercial strategy, expenditure management and profitability of the business, working closely with the Founder and Studio Manager to implement scalable structures that support the next phase of growth.
The successful candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, start-up experience and a hands-on mindset, with the ability to move fluidly between strategy and execution. They will be instrumental in identifying revenue opportunities, improving operational efficiency and ensuring the business is set up to grow sustainably across Direct-to-Consumer, Brand Partnerships and Wholesale channels.

The Commercial Business Lead will work directly with the Founder to build the infrastructure required to scale the business globally while preserving its distinctive creative identity.
Key Responsibilities :
Commercial Strategy & Growth
* Develop and implement a commercial strategy that drives revenue growth and profitability across all channels.
* Identify opportunities to scale the brand across DTC, wholesale and strategic partnerships.
* Translate the Founder’s creative vision into a commercially viable and scalable business strategy.
* Analyse market opportunities, new revenue streams and global expansion potential.
Financial Performance & Profitability
* Oversee business expenditure and profitability, ensuring strong financial discipline across operations.
* Monitor and analyse sales performance, margins and channel profitability.
* Work closely with finance partners to establish clear financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
* Implement processes and frameworks that support sustainable and profitable growth.
Channel Development
Drive growth across key revenue streams including:
* Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) — e-commerce and potential owned retail initiatives.
* Wholesale — relationships with global luxury and concept retailers.
* Brand Partnerships — collaborations and strategic partnerships aligned with the brand’s cultural positioning.
Operational & Structural Development
* Conduct a detailed review of the current business structure, identifying operational gaps and areas for improvement.
* Recommend team structure, headcount planning and resource allocation to support growth.
* Implement scalable operational frameworks across production, sales and commercial functions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
* Work closely with the Founder and Studio Manager to execute commercial initiatives while maintaining the integrity of the brand’s creative vision.
* Act as a central point connecting creative, operational and commercial teams.
* Lead and deliver strategic initiatives across the business in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in a commercial leadership role within fashion, luxury or creative industries.
* Strong background working within start-ups, founder-led brands or high-growth environments.
* Deep understanding of DTC, wholesale and brand partnership revenue models.
* Highly autonomous and entrepreneurial, with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
* Excellent financial and commercial acumen with experience driving profitability and operational efficiency.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, comfortable working closely with founders and small teams.
* A passion for culture-driven fashion brands and emerging luxury businesses.
