New Directions Education is currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Bootle, supporting pupils with complex care needs. 1. A specialist primary setting in Bootle, catering for children aged 3–11 with a wide range of care needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and complex medical conditions.

3. Facilities include sensory rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, specialist equipment, and therapeutic care areas.
The Role:
4. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils in their daily routines and learning activities, either 1:1 or in small groups.
5. Provide essential personal care, including support with feeding, toileting, and mobility.
6. Assist with sensory and therapeutic activities tailored to individual needs.
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Previous experience in care, SEN, or health-related roles is welcomed, but not essential – full training can be provided.
8. We particularly welcome applications from those with backgrounds in healthcare, social care, youth work, or support work.
9. Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already done.
10. Able to provide recent, relevant references covering the past 5 years of employment.
