This advert is a fixed term post for 18 months. We are looking for a data orientated person, with excellent attention to detail and who prides themselves on accuracy. The role involves a lot of data input, experience using Microsoft Excel would be advantageous, although training can be provided if needed. We require someone who is used to working alone as well as part of a team and has experience with large datasets and managing records, databases and administration tasks. A keen eye for detail is important. If you have an interest in how our roads, cycle tracks and footpaths are performing and want to help improve how people get around the local area then this may be the job for you. You need to have knowledge or experience in data collection, database management data analysis and interpretation? You will be working in a small team undertaking traffic data collection for all transport modes such as walking, cycling, scooting and public transport, as well as surveys and transport studies. You will be required to collect data, analyse, monitor and report on trends and other Local Transport Plan /Stoke on Trent City Council targets as required. You will maintain and administer a transport database and undertake research, create supporting documentation, and assist with the production of reports to senior officers, Council Members, and external organisations.
