HSE Manager
Role Purpose
The NEBOSH qualified Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Welfare legislation, including any Group and site-specific requirements, are implemented, maintained, and adhered to. You will support and develop new policies related to safety, health, and environmental concerns and advise on corrective actions to minimize risks to employees and the business. You will be required to ensure full compliance with customer requirements and/or BS EN standards.
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm)
Salary: Up to £50,000 starting salary
Responsibilities
1. Review and update HSE policies and conduct/update risk assessments as required.
2. Evaluate and ensure legal compliance of the site with HSE policies and promote all Company health, safety, and welfare topics.
3. Provide proactive advice, support, and guidance to Managers and Supervisors regarding H&S and Environmental issues, legal and other requirements.
4. Chair the Health, Safety & Environmental Committee meetings.
5. Communicate effectively at all levels on EHS and management system issues.
6. Conduct internal audits and inspections of manufacturing, contractor processes, and business departments, including resolution tracking.
7. Implement continual improvement initiatives within EHS management to enhance performance.
8. Develop and maintain procedures for EHS management and support planning and implementation processes.
9. Administer computer and database systems, maintain records, and prepare documentation.
10. Implement and maintain all requirements of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards.
11. Collaborate with Project Teams and Production personnel to develop appropriate 'safe systems' for new projects, processes, or machinery, based on current and potential legislation, using IESHR documentation.

Requirements
* NEBOSH qualified
* Strong background in Health & Safety with a keen drive to progress and learn within a new role
* Experience with ISO 45001 & 14001 standards
* Experience within a large manufacturing environment
* Ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage your own time
* Full Driving license, as travel between sites within the group may be required
* Organized and diligent with paperwork and documentation
