The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working as a Registered Homes Manager or as an experienced Deputy Homes Manager, supporting and caring for young people with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities. There may be up to five young people, aged between 5 and up to 18 years of age and mixed gender living at the home who are unable for a variety of reasons to live with their families.
You will be able to demonstrate passion, drive, commitment and skill to lead, inspire, manage and shape the future direction of a children's home, ensuring that the physical, emotional, developmental and social needs of all young people are achieved to the highest standard.
Working with professionals within Derby City Council and the care sector you will have a comprehensive understanding of the Childrens Homes Regulations, including Quality Standards 2015 and Ofsted's Framework for Assessment, ensuring that the home is compliant with Ofsted regulations, legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose. As part of our safer recruitment checks the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
All employees will normally be appointed to the minimum of the grade for the job.
