Opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic and energetic staff committed to delivering exceptional levels of customer service to join our dedicated team in the role of Business Services Assistant in the shared service environment of the Business Centre. Based at Great Dunmow Police Station, permanent vacancies are available across the core hours of 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday, with a requirement to work some evenings and weekends on occasions. The Business Centre provides a wide range of shared support services to Police Officers, PCSO's, Special Constabulary and other support staff within both the Essex Police and Kent Police forces. Responsibilities
* Respond to high levels of telephone and email enquiries.
* Provide advice and guidance to internal customers and colleagues.
* Process actions to meet Service Level Agreements and update and administer electronic records.
* Deliver a wide range of finance, human resources and transactional support functions to support operational policing and other teams.
* Work within a large, busy shared services environment and collaborate across teams to meet demanding deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience delivering exceptional customer service in a customer or shared service environment.
* Strong team working skills with flexibility to work across teams to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to master new software packages.
* Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and processing transactions; excellent verbal and written communication with a confident telephone manner.
* Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English or equivalent.
* Experience maintaining and inputting data into IT systems, including knowledge of SAP (full training provided).
* Eligibility to work in the UK as specified (UK residency requirements and continuous residence in the past three years).

* Salary: up to £25,623.00, with incremental increases within the salary band.
