We are delighted to be working with a Charity based in Oxford that are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous finance experience to continue developing in a supportive environment - offering study support + hybrid working.
Key responsibilities:
1. Management of the purchase ledger including invoice processing and setting up the weekly payment run
2. Management of the sales ledger
3. Weekly banking of cash and cheques
4. Assisting the Management Accountant with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
5. Manage the petty cash including top-ups and monthly reconciliation
6. Prepare, review and accrue the monthly credit card transactions
7. Prepare and process month end journals
8. Work with the Management Accountant to complete monthly payroll process
9. Support budget setting process
10. Be a key point of contact for other departments on finance and accounting matters

11. Someone with previous experience in a similar role
12. Good IT skills including Excel
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
14. Self-motivated and organised
