About the role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable low‑carbon electricity.
Responsibilities
The role is responsible for the delivery of high‑profile projects involving earthworks, deep drainage and reinforced concrete construction, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded. You will analyse risks and benefits of options, resolve identified issues, manage tight deadlines, prioritise and multi‑task, and take ownership of works or a section of works from start to finish, including handover.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Supervision of site activities using internal and supply chain partners
* Setting people to work
* Monitoring works to ensure they are completed as specified in the design documentation
* Ensuring works are in line with safe systems of works, permits and construction method statement
* Working within a culture of Zero Harm
* Reporting all observations
* Carrying out early contractor involvement meetings
* CSCS card – relevant level
* SMSTS
* SSSTS
* CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test – Managers & Professionals
* 42 hours per week
Desirable
* ILM Level 3 Certificate C&BE plus completion of Nuclear Unit
