At DWP Digital, we design and build user-friendly digital services that help people across the UK access vital support, advice and financial assistance. Almost everyone interacts with our services at some point in their lives and we are constantly working to make them better.
As a Digital Performance Analyst, you will be part of our Data and Analytics function within the Performance Analytics Central Team. You will support teams across DWP to design with data, embedding insight into every stage of service development to ensure we meet real user needs.
You will also contribute to our Performance Analyst community of practice, helping to define standards, share best practice and bring analysts together to solve problems collaboratively.
Your work will involve analysing a wide range of datasets and collaborating with User Researchers, Business Analysts and Data Scientists. Together, you will build a complete picture of our users, systems and services to guide iterative design and improve outcomes.
You will help shape how teams think about performance measurement. By developing meaningful indicators and delivering clear insights, you will encourage a culture where services are designed with impact and user value at their heart.
Please note: all interviews will take place in person, at one of the following offices: Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.
You will need to:
 * Conduct analysis by developing and working with performance measurement frameworks, KPIs, goals, user needs and benefits.
 * Collaborate closely with digital teams that build services for our citizens. You will develop measures from a variety of data sources that support teams to prove the value they add and ensure they meet the Government’s Digital by Default Service Standard.
 * Create dashboards for stakeholders using Looker Studio and PowerBI.
 * Regularly use SQL in Google BigQuery (including writing custom code to do calculations and join multiple datasets for analysis and to feed dashboards) to deliver analysis back to teams.
 * Help create a thriving community of performance analysts, by working with the team to create common standards and ways of working.
