Salary: 26,793 per annum Contract: This is a permanent role which offers realistic salary progression based on annual reviews. Working: 37.5 hours per week, shift pattern is 5 over 7 daytime hours, with a mix of weekdays and weekends. There are no evening shifts. What it's like to work here You’ll be reporting to the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager, working in a team of three, at The Vyne. Once an important Tudor palace, this atmospheric mansion has some illustrious connections, from Henry VIII to Jane Austen. Outside, acres of wildlife-rich gardens, meadows and woods create a wonderful space for relaxation and exploration, while the natural play space gives children freedom to let their imaginations take them on fantasy adventures. Sweeping lawns offer lakeside picnicking, and a short stroll reveals a cosy bird hide overlooking the water meadows What you'll be doing As Visitor Experience Officer, your main focus will be on providing a great service for visitors. With your team, you’ll be welcoming people and inspiring them to really get to know The Vyne. This might include devising and running events and activities, and creating interpretive displays and other ways of bringing the place, and its stories, to life for everyone who comes here. You'll encourage visitors to take a closer look at artworks or precious objects cared for by the Trust. You might be supervising and supporting volunteers and organising rotas. You’re likely to be checking standards of presentation on site, or helping to write for our web pages.
