Lancaster University Facilities Service Delivery Division has a vacancy for a van driver.
Facilities manage all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, landscaping, security, accommodation, hospitality, sport, capital development and general maintenance of the estate. Duties will include the issuing /receiving and control of cleaning consumables and for providing a delivery service around campus for Service Delivery and other teams within Facilities. The driver will have contact with the cleaning supervisors, other university staff, students and with contractors and suppliers. The van driver may also be required to complete any cleaning duties, as and when required. A current driving licence is essential.
You should be hard working, reliable and possess excellent customer service skills. Experience is essential and you should be working in a similar environment, achieving high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems
Knowledge and/or a relevant qualification in health and safety is desirable and you should be prepared to undertake further training and development. You must be educated to at least Functional Skills level 1 in English and Maths, and this is equivalent to GCSE Grade D – G.
The hours are 36.5 per week, working Monday – Friday 7am start.
