Senior Structural Engineer
London
£65k-£70k plus benefits
Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their London-based team, offering an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse and technically engaging range of projects across the capital and the Southeast.
The role focuses on delivering high-quality structural and surveying services for small to medium-sized schemes, with a strong emphasis on inspections, surveys, reporting and the development of practical, well-considered structural designs. It suits an experienced engineer who is comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams when required.
The successful candidate will bring a broad understanding of construction, spanning low-rise residential buildings, historic and traditional structures, and modern reinforced concrete and steelwork. The position involves regular site visits, so flexibility to travel locally and a high standard of written communication are essential.
This is a technically demanding and rewarding role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, contributing to early-stage feasibility work, and seeing projects through from concept to completion. Alongside hands-on engineering delivery, the role includes managing project scopes, budgets and programmes, coordinating with architects and other consultants, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the development of junior engineers within the team.
Applicants should hold a relevant MEng or BEng degree and be Chartered with either IStructE or ICE. Experience across projects ranging in value up to multi-million pounds is highly desirable, along with strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of building regulations and construction legislation, and the confidence to take a lead role on projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected consultancy, work on varied and meaningful projects, and play a key role in shaping high-quality structural solutions in a dynamic London environment.
