The Band Overseas Visitors Administrator will support Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in meeting its statutory obligations regarding overseas patient charging. The postholder is responsible for any administration tasks related to identifying, assessing, and recording overseas visitors who may be liable for charges, ensuring compliance with NHS regulations while delivering a sensitive and professional service to patients.
The post holder will be highly motivated and have an excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently.
Main duties of the job
·Identify overseas visitors at the point of registration or during admission and assess their eligibility for NHS-funded treatment according to current legislation and OUH policy.
·When requested, conduct interviews with patients and/or representatives to gather necessary documents and information with discretion and respect.
·Accurately maintain records and data on overseas visitors within Trust systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR.
·Prepare and issue invoices for chargeable patients, liaising with the finance team to ensure timely billing and follow-up.
·Clearly communicate patient status, charges, and appeal rights using accessible language and appropriate formats.
