The role
- CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator This is a rare opportunity for an experienced CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator to join one of the regions leading precision engineering operations
- a skilled, close-knit machine shop team based at the companys UK engineering headquarters in Witney.
The role offers genuine variety, technical challenge and the chance to take real ownership of producing high-quality, close-tolerance components which will go on to be used in some of the most advanced industries in the world.
Your role will include: Setting and operating multi-axisCNC Mill Turn machines, with occasional work on 4-axis horizontal mills Loading CNC programs and taking them through to successful prove-out and production Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances in a quality-driven environment Completing first-off and in-process inspections to ensure consistently high standards Optimising machining processes to improve efficiency, quality and output Supporting general machine shop activities including tooling, materials and housekeeping Required skills and experience
- CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator Sound experience setting and operating multi-axis CNC Mill Turn machines Background in high-precision machining (aerospace, motorsport or similar industries desirable) Experience machining Duplex steels, carbon steels and aluminium alloys Capable of reading engineering drawings and confidently using measuring and inspection equipment Hours Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 with a half an hour for lunch and Friday 07:00 to 12:30.
(37.5 hours a week).
