Payroll Specialist | Leeds City Centre | Upto £35k Your new company Hays are delighted to be working with a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide, who are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their successful and established Payroll department. Your new role Assisting with end-to-end processing of payroll for over 2000 employees. End to end IR35 payroll processing. Process the monthly payroll Effectively liaise with the external payroll providers. Continuously review and update internal and external payroll processes. Understanding and dealing with payroll-related queries in an efficient and effective manner. To undertake all aspects of pension scheme administration, including auto enrolment requirements. To assist with updating the P11D system with quarterly car changes for submission to HMRC and end-of-year data. To assist with the change to payroll of benefits. To produce weekly and monthly reports for stakeholders. Other payroll admin tasks What you'll need to succeed A CIPP or similar qualification is preferred. Competent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required. An ability to understand working alongside a payroll bureau is desirable. Knowledge and experience of IR35 payroll processing is desirable. Experience of processing multiple payrolls is desirable. Have the ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of calculating and processing statutory payments (SMP, SSP, etc) is required. Knowledge and experience of Salary Sacrifice and National Minimum Wage is required. Knowledge and experience of manually calculating payments gross to net is required. Knowledge of benefit and pension schemes for processing and reconciliation is desirable.
