What You'll Do
* Innovate in Healthcare: Develop and optimize machine learning models for disease prediction, early diagnosis, and personalized healthcare solutions.
* Process Diverse Data: Analyze structured and unstructured health data from wearables, IoT devices, and medical records to enhance early disease detection.
* Drive Accessibility: Create AI-powered solutions to improve digital and physical accessibility for individuals with disabilities, focusing on vision and cognitive support.
* Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work with multidisciplinary teams to translate technical insights into actionable solutions for stakeholders.
* Ensure Ethical AI: Adhere to data privacy regulations (GDPR, MDR, HIPAA, EHDS) and implement ethical AI practices.
Who You Are
Essential Skills:
* A PhD in a related field with some work experience or a Master's Degree with extensive relevant experience.
* Expertise in handling missing data, outliers, and feature engineering.
* Proficient in Python for hypothesis formulation, testing, and correlation analysis.
* Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning and model interpretability (SHAP, LIME).
* Skilled in creating visualizations with Matplotlib or Seaborn.
* Experience deploying predictive models in clinical settings or EHR systems.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks (GDPR, MDR, HIPAA, EHDS).
* Knowledge of Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Federated Learning architectures.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data tools.
* Expertise in XAI, bias mitigation, and ethical AI practices for healthcare.
Soft Skills:
* Strong documentation and reporting skills for EU project deliverables.
* Enthusiasm for AI applications in healthcare, energy, and digital inclusion.
* Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
