Overview
As a Graphic Designer you will have at least three years experience in a similar corporate design environment, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office to support colleagues throughout the bid process. You will produce visual and creative content for client-facing reports, presentations and other collateral to win new business and retain existing clients. You will join a high-paced in-house team responsible for developing creative solutions from inception to completion in line with brand guidelines. The role is hands-on, requiring flexibility and the ability to work under pressure on a stand-alone basis or with design colleagues. An excellent eye for detail and ability to follow brand guidelines while meeting numerous deadlines is crucial.
Responsibilities
* Producing new business proposals and presentations from concept to completion in accordance with our corporate branding, including diagrams, updating diagrams, infographics, layouts and preparation of interactive and print-ready PDFs for client submission.
* Collaborating with other design colleagues, co-working on projects, developing ideas and giving/receiving feedback.
* Working with bid management colleagues, providing advice, ensuring the design brief is clear and relevant to exceed expectations.
* Collaborating and strategising during kick-off meetings to build on-brand moodboards, cover options and report layouts for bid proposals and presentations.
* Act as a brand ambassador advocating correct brand use with internal colleagues.
* Manage your own workload, prioritise deadlines, and deliver high-quality work on time; be proactive under tight deadlines.
* Update bid management tools and content library, and maintain timekeeping worksheets.
* Keep abreast of design trends and software developments and share improvements with the design team.
* Liaise with external suppliers, such as print houses, to ensure final documents meet exact requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Solid experience in a similar design role within a corporate environment.
* Advanced Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and advanced or intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
* Creative with strong design and layout skills; ability to develop concepts that adhere to brand guidelines.
* Ability to work on multiple projects under pressure and meet deadlines with a flexible, can-do attitude.
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to understand requirements and convey ideas clearly.
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to work accurately, clarifying instructions and meeting deadlines.
* Degree or equivalent experience in a design-related field is preferable; strong portfolio considered.
* Experience with video (Premiere) and animation (After Effects) is advantageous but not required; experience with microsites/SharePoint for client RFPs is also advantageous but not required.
