Mission:
OSI Maritime Systems delivers cutting edge Integrated Mission Management Systems (IMMS) for Patrol Boats and OPV's. To strengthen the IMMS product team we are recruiting an IMMS System Engineer. The Systems Engineer plays a critical role in the further development of the overall IMMS system requirements' design and definition. You will execute various system engineering functions throughout the life cycle of the project.
The main responsibilities are:
* Works in a Modell Based System Engineering environment
* Supports the Mission Solution functional description; defining the functional solution needs
* Support the definition of IMMS product improvements based on customer needs and personal experience and expertise
* Responsible for authoring Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and associated artefacts to facilitate development of product and technical level requirements for input to the IMMS product team.
* Performs IMMS solution definition; creating the most suitable sensor, effector, functionality combination
* Executes market analysis of full MMS solutions and MMS subsystems
* Develops system designs, defines systems architecture, defines interfaces and specification, performs trade-studies and documents the design by writing SSDD, ICDs, SRS
* Performs requirement analysis, traceability and maintenance of requirements
* Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system
* Develops design concepts and generates technical proposal in response to Request for Quotation (RFQ)
* May participate in system integration tests, trials, and acceptance tests at customer facilities
You bring:
* Degree in Engineering or Physics, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience designing and engineering IMMS solutions in a MBSE environment either in a Naval, government or industry role.
* Demonstrated know-how of Combat sensor and weapon market for Patrol Boat and/or OPV size vessel.
* Proven track record in the timely delivery of engineering related projects; Strong knowledge of tactical sensors or systems; Excellent knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering principles, standards and best practices; Working experience in network design and architecture; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Familiarity with requirements and verification management tools such as DOORS; Knowledge of safety engineering and human factors engineering is an asset.
* Eligible to obtain and maintain a location relevant security clearance
