Working as part of the UK procurement team but with a dedicated focus on Capgemini’s HMRC Account, this exciting role sits across all business activities of the HMRC MU, reporting into the account Ecosystem team lead and UK head of external resource and services procurement. The team manage all IT and non-IT spend across the Market Unit supporting delivery to meet contractual obligations and provide high quality services. This role will be working extensively across the business, supporting multiple complex commercial arrangements across a range of suppliers. Beyond typical procurement activity, a key component of the role will be to support the Partner Relationship Manager to build and maintain positive, value-creation relationships with suppliers. Procurement operates at a high-profile level in the Market Unit and the key internal stakeholders will be Directors and members of the Senior Leaderships Team (SLT).
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
The role will focus primarily on supporting procurement of SOW sub-contracting services and Professional Services. You will operate as part of a small team dedicated to the HMRC MU. Working closely with a number of key stakeholders including delivery, Commercial and bid teams to ensure that the correct processes are followed, the aim is to deliver outcomes maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and quality and securing savings where possible. You will be required to have regular contact with the HMRC MU SLT and often demands may require management of multiple streams of activity to ensure timely fulfilment. This is a complex and fast paced role, offering significant development opportunity and will be incredibly rewarding for the right person!
What you’ll do:
1. Working across senior stakeholders to understand needs and deliver to category strategies that fulfil contractual obligations while driving innovation and value for Capgemini and our customer.
2. Support contract negotiations including MSA’s, SOW subcontracting requirements understanding the use of deliverables and outcome-based contracts, skillset requirements and changes in industry to advise the business on the best outcome.
3. Build multi-category skills to support the wide range of procurement and partner relationship management requirements needed to fulfil multiple contractual engagements with our customer.
4. Working to support delivery and the business on bid work, helping to win and maintain business, drive value and mitigate risk.
5. Engage with a clear and regular pattern of supplier relationship management activities to drive day to day business efficiency and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
6. Work to ensure the business understand the value you and the procurement function bring by delivering true specialist support to the HMRC MU.

Your skills and experience
7. Experience of sub-contracting management (preferred)
8. Experience and understanding of Statement of Work deliverable-based procurement. (preferred)
9. Stakeholder management and strong interpersonal skills including negotiation as you will be leading conversations with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
10. Excellent communications skills with resilience and ability to sensitively maintain robust positions.
11. A willingness to learn and take on responsibility with an ability to consistently work to exacting standards.
12. Self-starter with an independent attitude, to fit in with the flexible nature of the role, the team and the working environment, with a view to furthering your career within Procurement and Capgemini.
13. Self-motivated, ambition, drive, resilience and collaboration skills.
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
